I started sketching this out sometime in the middle of 2007 and kind of left it to gather dust in my WIP folder until recently. I have too many things in there. :(

This is Adia and Max as kids back in the 80's. Adia came out looking like Haruhi from OHC, though it wasn't intentional. I don't like pigeons very much, but they are fun to draw. :D I had originally inked this picture, but it looked better without the lines, so I deleted that layer and tightened up the colors a bit.

FUN FACT: The graffiti on the generator in the background is an homage to my neighborhood. I've been seeing "CURF" tagged everywhere around here on billboards, in train tunnels, even on my neighbors' wall, since I was really little.

Adia's undergone a bit of a transformation, as has the rest of your style, since I first remember seeing these characters in the boba character design sheet. I always loved the follow up (Adia's "booya!" picture, which is awesome) and even Golden Years. But this style is softer, almost surreal--hardly any crisp edges, and it makes Adia and Max seem younger. Your skills haven't diminished at all, this is still some awesome digital painting. But the style transition is kind of jarring.

I think the old style, even as late as Golden Years, was a lot crisper and edgy, reminiscent of a boba cafe/high school hangout...

This is very relaxing to look at...it must be the clouds. VERY beautiful coloring and those two look so cute. It scared me at first because i thought the window had fire coming out of it lol. Wonderful job! :heart:

I love the shading on the building and the sortof dappled effect on the shadow. ^^

The black haired girls expression is really cute as well. XD WTF? Pigeons?!
