something i've been working on over the course of a week. last year, during christmas, i made a graphic of myself as a gingerbread cookie for my website. thought i'd ressurect the idea and turn it into something interesting.
this was done completely in photoshop, using the bevel & emboss layer style. i tried to make it look as realistic as possible; i may have succeeded in some parts of the image and failed in others. for the "cookie" texture, i drew the gingerbread man shapes, used the craquelure [sp?] texture, and then beveled and embossed them. the frosting is basically the same technique, without the craquelure. i had to tweak the b & e settings to get it to look the way it does. the tablecloth background is simply a checkerboard pattern with a little texture added.
i didn't want to put this in the wallpaper section, although it is wallpaper-sized (so feel free to use it). i didn't really do this with the intention of making it a wallpaper; i just needed it to be big enough so that there was enough space to fit most of the characters. since it was that big, i decided to make it 1024 x 768.
note: the things on the shino cookie are chocolate sprinkles, supposedly representing his bugs. i got jimmies! ^_^
