yuki kun!!! i just picked up volume five of the fruits basket manga, and it's great, of course.

anyway, i actually did a background for this one. w00t! actually, i used brushes that i downloaded from here to do the backgrounds [and the dandelion], so it was fairly easy. but i drew the moon meself. XD

for yuki's yukata, i did a search for kimono fabric on the web and found a bunch of nice patterns. i put those pics in photoshop, desaturated them, and made them into patterns, so i could use them to fill in his clothing. then i just used the brush in screen mode to tint it.

overall, i'm not ecstatic about how this came out, but it's a start. i tried new techniques, and that was fun. must...learn...more.

i also decided not to put borders on these last couple of deviations. neither of them looked good with border.

Oh my GAWD, this is wonderful. The detail and light are fantastic. I love how the dandelions glow, and the pattern on his yukata.
